CEWQO30 – The 30th Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics 2026
July 20–24, 2026 | Erlangen, Germany
The 30th Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics (CEWQO) will be held in Erlangen, Germany. This edition is jointly hosted by the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL).
As a long-standing series, CEWQO serves as a international forum for researchers to present and discuss the latest advancements in quantum optics and quantum information.
Time and Place
The conference is scheduled for July 20–24, 2026 and will take place at Kreuz + Quer in Erlangen, Germany.
Scope and Topics
The program encompasses a broad range of topics in quantum optics and related fields, including:
- Fundamental aspects of quantum optics
- Non-classical and multi-mode states, quantum correlations, and tomography
- Open quantum systems
- Quantum information, simulations, and sensing
- Quantum communication
- Quantum optics with atoms, ions, and molecules
- Cavity and circuit QED
- Opto-mechanical systems
- Quantum optics in condensed matter systems

Venue and Travel
Scientific sessions will take place at Kreuz + Quer, a modern event center located in the heart of Erlangen (Bohlenplatz 1, 91054 Erlangen).
